About Capay Hydraulics
A Woodland hydraulic shop and mobile truck, named for the valley along Cache Creek where a lot of the county's farm iron works and where no shop had ever come to the machine.
Capay Hydraulics is a heavy equipment hydraulic repair shop and mobile service serving Woodland, CA and Yolo County. We rebuild cylinders, make hose assemblies at the machine from a crimper truck, repair pumps, motors and control valves, and run emergency field service for growers, distribution fleets, contractors and warehouses. The shop is on the east side of Woodland; the truck covers ten areas from West Sacramento to Dunnigan and up Highway 16 through the Capay Valley.
Why the prices are published
Because the person who wrote the cost guide is the person who does the work, and it is the same table we quote from on the phone. A hydraulic repair has a range because the same cylinder can need a $150 seal kit or a $1,200 rod, and you cannot see which until it is open. So the table shows the range, the third column says what moves a job inside it, and we confirm which end you are at before ordering parts. The invoice matches the quote. If something changed the number, it was said out loud first.
What we do
- Cylinder reseals and rebuilds: honing, rod polishing, rechrome coordination, new pistons and glands, bench test at working pressure
- Hose assemblies crimped at the machine or in the shop, JIC, ORFS, flange and metric fittings
- Pump, motor and control valve repair or replacement, with the pressure and flow test that tells you which one actually failed
- Farm equipment on harvest-season routes and warehouse fleets on scheduled preventive checks
- Emergency field service with a stated ETA and a stated after-hours premium
What we do not do
Hard chrome plating and precision machining beyond honing and rod polishing go to a chrome or machine shop we work with, and we tell you that up front with the turnaround. We do not do engine, transmission or electrical work; a diesel shop does that better. And we do not replace a hose or a cylinder you did not approve: we point out the tired ones next to the one that failed, and the call is yours.
Insurance and scope
Equipment hydraulic repair on private machinery is an unlicensed mechanical trade in California, and we carry garage liability insurance on every job.
